| ShinigamiName: Gurido, Zethiel [Prefers to be called Zeth] Visual Age: 19 Real Age: 214 Division: Second Description: - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Personality: Zeth is a somewhat quiet type of person, withdrawn and often glares at people he dislikes or people who annoys him. He does grin or laugh sometimes, though it is usually to mock or just because he’s amused by something. He doesn’t give a second thought to killing someone if they are a threat, but will spare sometimes them if they are weaker than him or an equal. He often likes to disappear sometimes when he isn’t needed, just to relax or get away (from those who annoy him usually). Despite his rogue attitude, he is actually very intelligent and will help innocent people if need be. He also is able to show a warmer side to his personality around people that are closer to him. History: -Time as a Living Human-Zeth was born in Cairo, Egypt, growing up with his mother, father, and older sister. He learned to fight using martial arts from his father, which was a past time in the family. As well as hand to hand combat, Zeth learned to use a sword, preferably a scimitar or a katana, due to an extending family living in East Asia. Zeth grew up being advanced in his classes, being commented as a wise soul by his family, and physical activities. He met an unfortunate end by an accidental drowning in the Nile River, a river closely associated with life. -Time as a Normal Spirit-Zeth woke up by the Nile River after his death, still thinking he was alive, until he saw his actual body next to him. Crazed beyond belief, Zeth sat near the River’s bank trying to figure out what had happened. After sitting there for about a hour, a man dressed in black appeared, wielding a katana similar to what Zeth used. Before Zeth could find out what was going on, the man put the end of the handle on Zeth’s forehead, as a brilliant light enveloped him. Zeth awoke again in a makeshift home, worn with age by looks of it. Zeth rose, scratching his head, to find two others in the room, a man and a woman. They explained where Zeth was and how he came to be there, and asked if he would live with him in their makeshift family. For a few years, Zeth enjoyed it, but it eventually bored him. Seeking to do something more, Zeth became interested in the shinigami, those who had brought him to the Soul Society. Zeth started training to use his reiatsui, which he actually progressed in rather quickly, and he joined the Shinigami academy soon after. -Time as a Shinigami-Like with his reiatsui training, Zeth advanced quickly, beginning to release a zanpakto within months of joining the academy. For an unknown reason, Zeth’s naturally blue eyes started grow darker into a deep crimson after first releasing his zanpakto. Zeth tended to focus mainly on his zanpakto and his shunpo, neglecting kido very much, excluding those which he took a liking to. After graduating, Zeth joined squad two, mostly due to his shunpo abilities. Zeth eventually obtained third seat of the squad, making him in charge of the detention unit. His time in squad two also increased his shunpo and combat abilities even further, due to working with the Special Forces. -Going Rogue-Zeth excelled in his line of work, becoming one of the highest seated members in the squad. However, Zeth found out about the abandonment of the Vizards and attempts at their extermination. Frankly, Zeth was disgusted about it, enough to try to argue with Central 46. This only put him up to be eliminated by his own allies, and, as a result, Zeth fled from the Soul Society, taking a special gigai with him so he could hide in the world of the living. -Watching the Carnage-Zeth stayed in hiding for years on end, maybe even more than a century, and still killing hollows all the while, until he heard of Aizen Souskue's rise to power as lord of the Arrancar. This disgusted him even more, that the shinigami had become so corrupt that one would ally with the hollows. Deciding to watch the shinigami fight one another, Zeth appeared on the outskirts of Karakura on that fateful day, where he watched Aizen and his two subordinates combat the rest of the shinigami. Needless to say, Aizen succeeded, though death was the cost of his success. -Change in the World-After Aizen's victory, Zeth noticed a tremendous increase in Hollow and Arrancar activity. Zeth slayed them as he usually did, but their numbers often made him retreat or he would have died. This continued for a couple decades. -Ragnarok-About three decades after Aizen's death, Zeth began to notice conversations between the Arrancar of a resistance gathering in Soul Society. Now knowing this, Zeth traveled back to Soul Society, killing numerous Hollow and Arrancar in the process. Finally, Zeth found himself back in the Seireitei, what was left of it that is... Staying in one of the abandoned storage facilities, Zeth began narrowing down where a resistance could gather. Zeth wasted nearly three years going through this process, then, he returned to the very place he had gone to help the Vizards, Central 46. Doing so, Zeth traveled down into the depths of the building, until he met a few shinigami scouts that he surprised. After a 'mild' interrogation, they led him down into the housings where he met the leaders of the resistance. From there, is where it begins... RP sample in next post... |

| RP Sample: Applying for captain-level... The RP sample is my Bankai training from Soul Purify. - Spoiler:
=Day 1=
It was a cloudy day as Zeth walked into the Vizard Land training area, carrying a large, human-shaped doll called a Tenshintai on his right shoulder. After making a few ‘deals’ in the Soul Society, Zeth had been able to come across this old relic. The process was a harsh trial over a period of three days, and if you succeeded, you would be able to use Bankai. If you didn’t succeed within the three day period, you would die. Zeth, however, wasn’t going to die. He needed to get stronger, and to do that, he needed Bankai.
Stopping in the center of the training area, Zeth looked around. He was the only person using it at the moment, though he better start soon so no one got in his way. Setting the doll down straight up in the ground, Zeth, drew his guard-less zanpakto with his left hand. Looking at the blade for a second, Zeth pointed the blade of his zanpakto at where the heart would be on the doll. Sliding the blade forward, the sword met hardly any resistance as the tip emerged from the back of the doll. For a few moments, all that could be heard was the calm wind blowing across the training area. Without warning, the doll erupted into flames, making Zeth take a few calm steps back after letting go of his zanpakto. While in flames, the doll started to shine as bright as the sun, making Zeth cover his eyes. As the light dimmed, Zeth uncovered his eyes, seeing a female figure where the doll had been, holding Zeth’s zanpakto. The woman was humanoid, though her fore-limbs were that of a dragon’s claws and talons, she had draconic wings folded at her back, her eyes were amber, her hair silver, and scales on her face making designs similar to that of war paint. She wore a red robe covering her torso and reaching down to her knees, similar in color to that of her scales. That was Gitouenkou’s true form.
She looked around the training area, curious, and then looked directly into Zeth’s eyes, with a fire similar to his own. After a few moments of silence, she smiled warmly, and Zeth grinned back. The both of them were already well acquainted, though both of them knew the formalities wouldn’t last long.
“So,” Enkou spoke in an alto tone, “Are you sure you want to go through with this?” Zeth lowered his head as a response. He knew the risks, but he had to get stronger, and fast, and this was the fastest way. “I know the risks…But if I don’t act now I may not have another chance.” Zeth looked up at Enkou, his crimson eyes a flare. They locked their eyes for a few seconds, before Enkou started laughing suddenly. “Just the same as you were before Reikon, you still are ambitious about your ideals.” Still smiling, Enkou looked at Zeth with a dangerous look in her eyes. “No more formalities. Are you ready to begin?” Zeth, who had lost his grin, watched as she tossed the guard-less zanpakto at Zeth, who caught it by the handle easily. “Of course,” Zeth replied as he lowered his stance with the sword in his left hand. Enkou, her smile now mischievous, created a ball of flame in her right hand, shaping it into a sword-shaped blaze. Enkou opened her mouth to speak; her tone much more serious than earlier. “Begin…”
Zeth shunpoed forward up to Enkou, slashing upwards, attempting to amputate a limb, only to be parried easily by Enkou’s blade of flame, where as the impact felt like steel on steel. Stepping back, Zeth swung from the opposite side, only to be blocked again by the flame. Flipping backwards a yard back, Zeth noticed Enkou charge up to him with incredible speed. Attempting to parry, Zeth flipped the blade around in his hand and it impacted on the flame, only for his blade to start to crack on impact. Noticing this quickly, Zeth shunpoed away a couple yards, glaring at Enkou. Enkou gave another mischievous smile, taunting Zeth, before she added, “If you want to force me into submission, you’re going to have to do better…” Vanishing suddenly, Zeth’s eyes widened as he noticed it was a shunpo. Turning quickly, Zeth ducked under the blade, the flames singeing a few hairs, and, pouring his reiastui into the blade, shot upwards, slashing towards the left shoulder. Shunpoing away again, Enkou appeared a couple yards away, smiling warmly. “There you go.” Readying their stances again, Zeth and Enkou charged at each other again.
~~~~~7 hours later~~~~~
The sun was falling on the horizon, with Zeth and Enkou still continuing their bout. Halting for a moment, Zeth and Enkou stood calmly. Zeth had accumulated several wounds, though not that deep, on his arms and chest, where as Enkou barely had any scratches on her person. Letting her blade disappear, Enkou smiled, surprising Zeth, since she hadn’t smiled much in the past few hours. “The first day is over,” Enkou said calmly, “I will appear again two hours after the sun rises.” And like a ghost, she vanished, leaving the Tenshintai behind. Sighing, Zeth looked out at the setting sun; mere minutes from the night, and sat down. He wondered what the next day would hold, if anything new at all.
=Day 2=
Sitting cross-legged on the training area, Zeth had his eyes closed, the Tenshintai in front of him. The sun had risen about two hours earlier, and the wind was still cold. Slowly opening his eyes, Zeth saw flames rising from the doll. His face not changed in the slightest, Zeth stood, as the flames grew and shaped themselves. Finally shaping into the desired figure, the flames dispersed to reveal Gitouenkou, the same as she was the day before. Looking at him, she asked, “Shall we continue?” Zeth nodded quietly. He had no desire to speak, only to finish what they had started the day before. Nodding as well, flames entwined themselves around both of Enkou’s hands, shaping into swords like the one from before. Drawing his guard-less katana, Zeth took his stance in front of Enkou, his crimson reiastui calm, yet powerful.
Making the first move, Gitouenkou charged at Zeth, still in the same position. Slashing downward onto Zeth, Zeth sidestepped Enkou’s assault, grabbing her by the front of the robe with his free hand and throwing her into the ground behind him. Enkou, moving quickly, twisted around landing on her feet, and slashing at Zeth as he let go and shunpoed backwards a few feet. Moving her swords to the side, Enkou used her own shunpo to close the distance between them, and slashed both down and left at Zeth. Finally using his blade, Zeth ducked down under the horizontal slash, and, sidestepping low to the ground while doing it, parried off the vertical slash. Rolling a foot away, Zeth jumped up from the ground and roundhouse-kicks Enkou’s arm, his leg reinforced with reiastui. Before Gitouenkou can react, the kick connects, forcing her to dispel her sword and fly back a few feet before landing on her feet.
Grinning mischievously, Enkou’s eyes met Zeth’s, both pairs having an intense fire in them. Openning her mouth, Enkou asked, “So, how did you know that would work?” Zeth, returning the grin, answered, “You only use attacks with your swords, and never attack with anything else, so I worked with more than just attacks with blades, and it seems to have worked a bit.” Nodding, Gitouenkou lost her grin, her eyes much more serious than they had been within the past day. “Then I guess it’s time to stop holding back…” Saying this, fire erupted from both of Enkou’s arms, covering the crimson scales in an intense cloth of flame. Her wings extending, Gitouenkou crouched to the ground, flames continuing to engulf her person. Taking a step back, Zeth readied himself for whatever came at him as the flames finished wrapping around Enkou. Looking at Zeth, her pupils now slits, Enkou now grinned once again. “Let’s see how you fare.”
Disappearing in a flash, Gitouenkou appeared behind Zeth, attempting to pierce through him with her right claw. Only now realizing where she had vanished to, Zeth turned, only to be knocked away by the piercing limb. Not allowing him time to recover, Enkou charged up to him, slashing down with her claw, slamming him into the ground, cleaving through his flesh, and leaving burns in its wake. Groaning in pain, Zeth jumped onto his feet, just in time to catch Enkou’s clawed hand on his blade. The heat intense, Zeth pushed Enkou back with his blade, knowing that trying to use hand-to-hand tactics would fail with him getting seriously burned. Keeping on his assault, Zeth slashed horizontally, vertically, and diagonally multiple times, getting some attacks in, most getting either blocked or parried. This wasn’t going well for him at all.
Finally disbanding his assault, Zeth shunpoed backwards, keeping his distance. It was bad enough the flames were so intense that sweat was running crazily down Zeth’s neck, but the scales on Enkou were starting to crack the blade little by little. His blade couldn’t endure this forever, and he needed a new tactic. Extending his palm forward, Zeth unleashed his personal favorite kido, “Hado 33, Sokatsui!” and a large blast of blue energy emerged, rushing towards Enkou, who was starting to pursue him. Stopping in midstride, Enkou brought her arms up in an ‘X’ and took the blast. On impact, the Sokatsui created a light smokescreen, concealing the damage the blast had done. As the smoke cleared, Zeth’s eyes widened in surprise seeing that the blast had been almost useless, seeing only a few cracks and bruises on Enkou’s arms. Raising his blade, Zeth scowled at Enkou, who put her arms down and grinned. This just got a hell of a lot worse.
~~~~~9 hours later~~~~~
Falling to the ground, exhausted, Zeth leaned on his cracked blade for support. The battle with Enkou had nearly shattered the guard-less zanpakto, and the flames were so intense that his own blood that had splattered onto the blade was burnt. Glaring up at Enkou, who was still clothed in flame, and finally bearing some wounds of her own, Zeth slowly got to his feet, the blade dangling at his side. Enkou grinned, and spoke clearly, “The second day is over.” Turning her back to Zeth, she spoke quietly, “I’d patch myself up if I were you.” Toppling backwards onto the ground, Zeth landed on his back as Enkou disappeared in a flash of flame.
Taking a deep breath, Zeth contemplated to himself. He was running out of options; either find a crazy strategy to beat his partner, or using Reikon. Shaking his head furiously, Zeth pushed the thought from his mind. This was a trial for him and him alone, and he couldn’t lean on Reikon no matter what. He would never hear the end of it from that insane vampire. Sighing, Zeth got to his feet, his muscles aching, to go put some bandages on his wounds.
Final day in next post... |

| Day three of my rp sample... - Spoiler:
=Day 3=
New bandages covering his torso, arms, legs, and forehead, Zeth sat next to the Tenshintai, still putting the all his thinking power into making a plan. Hand-to-hand was pretty much useless, his sword was already banged up, and the flames that surrounded Enkou were strong enough to endure Kido. Putting his chin in his palm, Zeth looked at the sun in the distance. It was almost two hours up, and he still had no clue how to get around Enkou’s flames. Sighing, knowing the final day was about to begin, Zeth stood, grasping his half-repaired blade in his hand. It was astounding what a bit of reiastui could do for a zanpakto.
Watching the Tenshintai, Zeth noticed flames starting to appear on the doll, and, once again, they formed into Gitouenkou’s manifestation, though, to Zeth’s disappointment, her wounds had disappeared. Noticing Zeth’s scowl, Enkou grinned, flames already starting to cloak her again. “Well, I guess you’re surprised about my healing abilities?” Zeth kept silent, his eyes a flare. He had hoped he would still have some, though small, advantages. With that being crushed, Zeth raised his blade, the rage converting into reiatsui, and the reiatsui repairing the blade bit by bit, but not by much. Raising an eyebrow, Enkou, folding her arms under her breasts, looked at Zeth wryly. “This is the last day of the tests, are you sure you can beat me within the day?” Zeth nodded, the blade still regenerating. He had made his decision two days ago, and wasn’t going to back down now. Nodding sadly, Enkou spoke, “Then let’s finish this.”
Lowering her stance, Enkou’s flames started to complete covering her body, and she flexed her claws eagerly. Zeth, focusing still on creating a plan, lowered his stance as well, reiatsui still raging through his blade. Each stood still, waiting for the other to make the first move. With a shunpo in his step, Zeth shunpoed behind Enkou, blade ready to stab through her chest, and pushed the zanpakto forward. Turning with a swift sidestep, Enkou was able to avoid a serious wound by the blade, but still got slashed on her side rather deeply. Attempting to counter, Enkou raised her clawed hand and slashed diagonally at Zeth, who, utilizing shunpo, vanished and reappeared behind her yet again, this time aiming to slash at Enkou’s shoulder. Using her own shunpo, Gitouenkou disappeared and appeared directly in front of Zeth, claws at the ready. Zeth, eyes narrowing, moved his blade to intercept the claws, and Enkou locked one of her claws with the blade.
The lock stood still for minutes on end, each waiting for the slightest movement. It was near silence, other than the flames around Enkou making a crackling noise. Both of their eyes were deadlocked on each others, each holding their own fire. Pushing backwards simultaneously, both Enkou and Zeth moved back a few feet before readying their stances once again. Making the first move yet again, Zeth shunpoed to Enkou’s side, and readied to slash at her. Seeing the attack coming, Enkou readied to block and counter, only for Zeth to vanish with another shunpo, and appear on Enkou’s other side to complete the strike. Surprise in her amber eyes, Enkou tried to bring her body around to at least block the attack, only for the slash to cut straight through her left arm. In shock, Enkou shunpoed backwards, trying to gain some distance, only for Zeth to pursue relentlessly.
Knowing he now had the advantage; Zeth brought his blade in both hands, pushing more reiatsui into it. Shunpoing behind Enkou, Zeth slipped the sword into its sheathe, his left hand on the hilt, and his right on the sheathe. Enkou, now turning around readied her right claw to attack as well. Zeth, utilizing shunpo again, appeared right in front of Gitouenkou, and said, “Checkmate.” Slashing upwards from the sheath, Zeth’s zanpakto cleaved into Enkou and threw her back in the process. Enkou’s body fell to the ground a few feet away as Zeth dropped to the ground on his knees, sword still in hand, clutching at his side. All the exerted strength and reiatsui put a large strain on his body, and had opened his wounds in the process.
Panting, Zeth looked at Gitouenkou, who was straining to stand, smiling warmly at Zeth. “Well done. You’ve force me into submission.” Zeth, who for a moment struggled to stand, walked over to Enkou and extended his hand to help her up. “You weren’t too bad yourself, partner.” Zeth grinned as Enkou took his hand as he helped her onto her feet. Standing wearily, Enkou nodded, “Bankai is now your tool to use. Please use it wisely.” In a flash of fire, Enkou’s figure disappeared, where as the flames started to surround Zeth and encase him. From within the fire, Zeth heard Gitouenkou’s voice in his mind. ‘The power of Nenshou Hiryuu is now yours.’
The flames dispersing, Zeth saw a new blade in his hands, about two and a half feet long, an elongated hilt with an indention in the center, and at the end of the hilt was a dagger little more than a foot long. At his chest was a crimson chest plate, similar in color to Gitouenkou’s scales. Feeling heat behind him, Zeth looked over his shoulder to see that the flames hadn’t completely dispersed, and had formed wings on him. Grinning, Zeth took a deep breath and exhaled, releasing the energy from the Bankai. Doing so, Zeth’s guard-less zanpakto appeared in his hand, the effects of Bankai over and done. Looking at the sun, Zeth smiled, one of Zeth’s rare true smiles, and walked off the training area. All of the commotion had made him hungry.
